A Wellington education nurtures pupils to become confident, independent and resilient young people. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, on stage or in the community, Wellington pupils benefit from a distinctive holistic education that prepares them to become thoughtful, well-rounded citizens in a rapidly changing world.

Wellington's Early Years programme fosters a lifelong love of learning in a caring and supportive environment. Our curriculum is closely linked to the UK's EYFS framework, with each class taught by a qualified teacher and a teaching assistant. Under their guidance, children spend most of their day exploring and learning through play as they build advanced skills in phonics, maths, literacy and Chinese language. This ensures a confident start to Primary School.
In Wellington Primary Schools, pupils build strong foundations for long-term academic success. We use the English National Curriculum as a starting point and judiciously balance knowledge- and concept-based learning. We encourage thoughtful inquiry through challenging investigations that span science, the arts and the humanities. It is during this phase that pupils make the pivotal transition from general classroom teaching to specialised teaching and learn to take greater ownership of their learning. Meanwhile, an extensive programme of co-curricular activities broadens their horizons as they discover new talents and passions.
Pupils in our Secondary Schools cultivate a passion and love for science, language and culture. In years 10 and 11, they work toward the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination qualifications. Sixth Form pupils study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the A Level programme. These globally recognised university entrance exams explore academic subjects in depth and breadth. Upon completion, they will be fully prepared to succeed at the world's premier institutions of higher learning and beyond.
