Paul Lloyd

After ten years of working in China, Paul is delighted to be joining the Wellington College International Shanghai team and helping to make it the best it can be.

He is originally from London but has spent a large part of his life studying and teaching in Scotland where he also gained his teaching qualifications. After a period of teaching in Scotland, Paul decided to take the big leap and move to Shanghai. Since then he has worked in a variety of schools teaching international students and Chinese nationals.

When Paul first went to university he studied Physics and shortly after that he completed his PGCE. After a few years of teaching he chose to develop himself further, as a teacher by completing a Master of Education and has continued to develop himself as a teacher by gaining Chartered Science Teacher Status.

As for his leisure activities, Paul enjoys writing science education articles so that he can share his fun and interesting ideas on teaching science. His next biggest passion is showing and breeding his prize-winning cats. When he has a chance to escape writing articles and the constant demands of his cats, Paul likes to relax by watching anything sci-fi, especially Dr Who.
