Catering is provided by Chartwells-Compass Group, who serves more than 58 international schools all over Greater China as the market leader. Clients include both Chinese and International Top 500 companies which are located in more than 40 cities in Greater China employing more than 3,000 people.
Catering fees are paid directly to Chartwells by parents, not via the school, and can be paid on a termly or annual basis.
The vast majority of pupils opt for lunch provided by Chartwells, though packed lunches are permitted in Years 3 and above. Please note that the school does not provide microwave ovens, so students can therefore only bring a cold packed lunch.
All pupils in The Nest (Nursery to Year 2) are required to eat school lunches, and do so separately in the Junior Dining Hall, with class teachers and TA’s supervising and helping to serve the food. Pupils in Year 3 and above have lunch on a rota system in the Senior Dining Hall, collecting food on trays from a central servery. In addition to lunch, a snack is provided for Junior School pupils in the morning.
Our boarding pupils eat breakfast and dinner in the Senior Dining Hall. With sufficient advanced notice, these meals can be provided for other pupils. Please contact the Assistant Project Manager ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) in the Dining Hall office for details.
Our Delimarché Café is an additional facility where hot and cold beverages and light snacks and sandwiches can be purchased using meal card, at prices significantly lower than would be found on the ‘high street’. It is managed by Compass Group.
