Peter was born and raised in Chicago Illinois where he originally studied finance at Illinois State University. After several years in the finance industry he returned to night school and obtained an undergraduate degree in both mathematics and education, which lead him to a job teaching in the Chicago Public School District. After several inspiring years honing his craft in Chicago, Peter took a job at the Foreign Languages High School in Tianjin, China where he taught the AP mathematics curriculum.
In his day-to-day free time, Peter enjoys the study and practice of the two universal languages, mathematics and music. Most evenings he can be found picking the banjo, strumming the guitar, and annoying his neighbors with attempts to play the violin, piano, and drums.
In addition, Peter has a passion for outdoor adventures and traveling the world. Living and working in China has opened up the natural and man-made wonders of Asia for him and he looks forward to working at Wellington and discovering all that Shanghai has to offer.
