James Dyson

James studied history at the University of Lancaster while working on the college IT helpdesk. Having completed his degree, he then completed a primary PGCE at the University of Northumbria in Newcastle.

After completing his PGCE, James has worked in both independent and state schools in the UK and abroad. Initially teaching in Northumberland, James had trained teacher educators in Nekemte, Ethiopia, led the ICT department for Braeburn School, Nairobi in Kenya before returning to the UK to lead ICT at Orchard House, Chiswick and later Hazelwood School, Oxted.

He enjoys computing in and out of the classroom and can often be found tinkering with Raspberry Pis, programming and various linux boxes. James is interested in outdoor education and enjoys exploring with his family.
