Four Pillars of

This year’s awards identified 30 outstanding principals from over 100 candidates. The evaluation focused on four key pillars of quality leadership:

  • Educational competence: Foresight and implementation of educational philosophies, professional background and ongoing development

  • Management capability: Internationalised and innovative curricula, faculty structure optimisation and international collaboration

Humanising Education

in the Digital Age

During a roundtable discussion titled Principal Leadership in an Era of Change: Balancing Digitalisation and Humanistic ValuesSuisui Yu, Second Master of Hiba Academy Nantong, reflected on how technology should serve education, saying, “Technology should amplify humanity rather than replace it.”

This principle guides Hiba Academy Nantong in its adoption of digital tools. By relieving teachers of burdensome data management and administrative tasks, technology allows more time for personalised guidance, meaningful relationships and attention to the needs of each pupil and family.

Hiba Nantong aligns every technology choice with its bilingual and bicultural philosophy, fostering the integration of Chinese and Western cultures and deepening curriculum and teaching practices. The fundamental standard remains clear: Use technology to enhance human value, not diminish it.

Why Strong Leadership

Matters

For parents, this recognition offers reassurance that your child’s school is guided by leaders who balance academic ambition with genuine care for the whole child. For education professionals, it highlights evidence-informed leadership, purposeful innovation and collaboration across the sector. And for pupils, strong leadership translates into coherent curricula, supportive environments and opportunities that broaden horizons.

Our Commitment

Continues

We are grateful to our community of pupils, families and colleagues whose trust and partnership make achievements like this possible. Our Masters will continue building schools where every child is known, challenged and supported—and where innovation is rooted in genuine human connection.
