2025: Another Year of Outstanding Exam Results

Wellington College Education (China) is proud to announce another year of exceptional academic achievements, with pupils once again excelling across the IB, A Levels and IGCSE examinations. These results are a testament to our pupils’ ambition, resilience and relentless pursuit of excellence. Behind every success story stands the dedication of our passionate teachers and the unwavering support and care of our wider community.
IB
Raising the Bar
Our IB pupils really impressed us this year, achieving an average score of 37—well above the global average of 30.58. Two pupils earned the maximum 45 points, and nearly a third of the year group scored over 40. The core component average was a strong 2.2. Many subjects saw every pupil achieving top marks, especially in languages and the arts, and 52 pupils were awarded the highly respected bilingual diploma. These results show just how committed our pupils are, and how much our teachers help them to thrive.

A Levels
Competitive Outcomes
Our A Level results were just as impressive. Group-wide, 27% of grades were A* and 63% were A* or A. Every pupil taking Chinese earned an A*, and Further Mathematics and Physics were also standouts for high grades. 17 pupils achieved straight A* or A grades in all their subjects.

IGCSE
Consistently High
Standards
With the IGCSEs, our pupils upheld praiseworthy standards. Across all schools, 33% of grades were A* and 62% were A*or A, with the top school reaching 80%. Subjects like Additional Mathematics, First Language Chinese, Chinese as a Second Language and Chemistry saw especially strong results. 34 pupils achieved an A* or A in every subject they took.
