This summer, Wellington College Education (China) - Tianjin, Hangzhou, Hiba Academy Nantong and Wellington College UK ran a series of exciting summer camps, welcoming pupils of all ages.

Through creative academic courses, thrilling challenges and vibrant arts, campers stepped beyond their comfort zones, made new friends, and discovered new passions.

Highlights included VR adventures, drone photography, catwalk training with professional models, mermaid swimming and sketching Suzhou garden windows to learn the art of 'borrowed scenery'.

Every day brought fresh experiences and new interests.

Centred on Academics, Sport and Leadership for Reception to Year 9, courses ranged from STEAM projects and science exploration to maths, English, arts and leadership skills.

In just days, corridors filled with pupils’ creative work, Into the Jungle took to the stage, and beaming children proudly held their awards.

Three signature camps – the Hiba Education Experiential Camp, AMC Intensive Training Camp, and English Musical Theatre Summer School – offered unique opportunities.

Pupils enjoyed distinctive Hiba lessons, British-style boarding, tailored maths competition coaching and a dazzling performance of Matilda to a full house.

This July, pupils from the Wellington College  Education (China) joined the University Pathway Programme and Summer School led by Wellington College International, enjoying two weeks of academic challenge, cultural discovery and personal growth.

From visiting Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial, to developing public speaking, leadership and career skills, participants immersed themselves in world-class learning. Surrounded by 400 acres of stunning parkland, they explored British heritage, embraced boarding life and built lifelong friendships. Rooted in Wellington’s values, this transformative experience inspired confidence, curiosity and ambition—preparing pupils to thrive at university and beyond.

Whether breaking the ice in new surroundings, leading teams on the field, offering a helping hand, or supporting from behind the scenes, every effort and achievement has become part of this summer’s shining memories.
