Sue graduated from Beijing Normal University in 2003, majoring in Chinese language and literature. She then went on to gain an MA in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages at East China Normal University, one of the top universities in China.
Sue began her career at a local high school in Beijing, teaching Chinese language and literature to native speakers in 2006. Before joining Wellington, she taught Mandarin for over nine years in a Shanghai international school. She has taught Chinese as a first and second language at both the IGCSE and IBDP levels.
Outside of teaching, Sue enjoys reading, swimming and table tennis. She also played an active role in preparing pupils for the LNY performance, ACAMIS Chinese talent show and Chinese writing competition.
