Madeline was born and raised in beautiful Brittany, France. She obtained her BA in foreign cultures and languages at the Western Brittany University in Brest. As a language student, one requirement for graduating was to study abroad, which she did. She spent an exciting year in an American university, learning about a new culture through classes and a lot of traveling around North America. She then took her PGCE in Keele University and went straight to China to work in an international school.
She has now been working in China for some five years, and has recently taken on the position of housemistress of the Hopetoun. She is very excited about this pastoral role, which is crucial in the well-being and development of the pupils.
She loves sports and has practised many. She recently passed her open water certificate in Bali and is hoping to discover many more diving places around South-East Asia. She also loves dancing, especially line dancing, which she has practised for more than five years, and attended workshops lead by international choreographers in different countries.
