James Beadle went to university at St Andrews in Scotland where he gained a degree in mathematics and physics (Hons). James previously worked at Southend High School for Girls.
James is currently in the final year of a Master’s in mathematical education and hence was attracted by the expertise Wellington UK has in educational research. In addition, Shanghai is currently an exciting place to be in regards to international developments in the teaching of mathematics.
James has several interests, such as competitive debating. He represented St Andrews at three European and three world debating championships and was ranked within the top 10% of debaters internationally, winning several domestic competitions. James ran the training program for St Andrews in his final year and founded a competitive debating society at his previous school of employment. James was also proud to accompany Wellington’s inaugural squad to the global finals of the Scholars Cup last year in Kuala Lumpur.
