Joined Wellington College International Shanghai in August 2017
I was first drawn to Wellington College China because of its clear ethos and desire to educate the whole child rather than just focus on the academics. The school site is extensive and modern with incredible facilities both in and out of the classroom, and the opportunity to continue the Wellington College name, reputation and history in a new environment here in China strongly appealed to me.
There is a real sense of community throughout the College and I enjoy an excellent work-life balance. The College is constantly evolving, which has allowed me to try out new strategies to improve my teaching and share best practice with my colleagues.
My experience of moving to new country and continent has been life-changing! I’ve met so many incredible, supportive colleagues who have helped me develop as a teacher and helped me to establish myself in my Head of Year 2 role.
