Carlton Palmer

Carlton joins Wellington following many successes in the Middle East setting up sporting academies and running coaching programmes. He started his football career at West Bromwich Albion, joining as an apprentice in July 1983 before turning professional in December 1984. He made his league debut in September 1985 against Newcastle United. He went on to play for Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Coventry City, Watford and finally, as player-manager at Stockport County. Carlton also went on to represent England, earning 18 caps, scoring one goal and secured a place in the national squad for the 1992 European Champi¬onships in Sweden.

Following various managerial posts Carlton turned his attention to media posts, working for the BBC and various providers in Asia and the Middle East working on English Premier League and European Champions League matches. Carlton is overseeing the Wellington College Academy Programme at Wellington. For more information, click here.
