30 Oct 2025

Parents as Partners

As the wheel of technology turns ever faster and boundless possibilities unfold, today’s digital-age children stand at an unprecedented crossroads: a vast ocean of information lies within reach, yet beyond it looms the risk of disorientation.

In the surge of AI reshaping tomorrow’s workplace, many parents carry quiet anxieties.  Can the knowledge and experience they once trusted still guide children racing along such a high-speed track? In uncertain times, what matters most? To embrace cutting-edge technology or preserve the warmth of humanistic values? To follow parental plans or pursue curiosity and passion? To strategise early and break free from competition, or to move forward gently and steadily?

Educators are asking similar questions. Should schooling goals be redefined? How can teaching and assessment evolve with the times? And in a child’s journey, how can teachers and parents truly stand shoulder to shoulder, ensuring home and school support one another?

Against this backdrop, home-school co-education is no longer a distant ideal but a necessity. A bridge to navigate change, a steadfast bond connecting family and school, empower every child for the future. Wellington College Education (China) has curated its first Parents as Partners Conference — a professional, open platform for pupils, parents and educators to exchange ideas, spark dialogue and decode the future of learning together.

We invite all who care about education to scan the QR code and join us in December.

Across Generations

Parents and Pupils Debate

to Find Common Ground

Differences between parents and children are inevitable, especially over pivotal choices such as schooling or career paths. This Forum will host a special inter-generational debate: Future Planning: Prioritise the Parents' Wisdom or Child's Passion?

This is not about winning or losing, but about fostering open dialogue, identifying the roots of disagreement, and reaching understanding through respectful exchange. We believe education’s true value lies not in imposing answers, but in jointly discovering the path best suited to each child.

Education is never a fixed examination paper; it is a journey of inspiration. The blueprint for the future must be drawn together by parents, schools and children.

This conference is an opportunity to seek consensus — a dialogue across regions, professions and generations. It is about more than today’s classroom; it is about tomorrow’s world.

If you are ready to embrace education’s many possibilities with an open mind, scan the QR code on the poster and join us in decoding the future of learning. For more on speakers and agenda, please stay tuned with  the Wellington College Education (China) WeChat account.
