Boarding life at Hiba Academy Nantong gives pupils a real boost in their learning. With a 24-hour language environment, pupils improve their English all day, whether in lessons, the dorm, assemblies or daily conversations. Tutors are on hand during the day and in evening study sessions, so pupils always get the support they need. Boarding also teaches vital time-management skills, helping pupils balance work, hobbies and friendships.
Pupils gain fresh ideas from post-lesson discussions, learn focus through quiet library study and develop confidence by juggling schoolwork with activities. All of this builds a strong base for academic success.
“Joining Hiba Academy Nantong has really sharpened my thinking and research skills. My teachers answer my questions and guide me through challenges, especially in our one-to-one sessions.”
— Jayden
Grade 10 Pupil

Boarding is great preparation for life beyond school. Older pupils become house leaders and support younger ones. Pupils from different backgrounds share their cultures through dorm activities, making global ideas real. Every solved conflict and group project is a lesson in teamwork and social skills.

At Hiba, pupils learn self-reliance, initiative and independence. They make lifelong friends and develop skills that matter far beyond exams. This growth gives them the confidence to face whatever comes next.
Weekends in our Full Boarding programme mix study with free time. Pupils have study sessions and prep time, alongside a choice of sports, music or drama.
On Saturdays, boarders have four lessons in the morning, then choose activities in the afternoon—sports, music or drama—followed by dinner and a social event. Evenings end with quiet time or study before bed.

Weekly boarding is just as varied. Pupils can join basketball, football, swimming, ultimate frisbee and more. Creative pupils use our music and art spaces. The theatre, pool and sports hall are open all week, so everyone can follow their interests.
This routine keeps academic standards high but leaves room for pupils to grow as individuals.
“At Hiba Academy Nantong, we want pupils to do well in their studies and also grow into independent, respectful and caring leaders.”
— Wei Qian
Head of Boarding
The benefits of boarding at Hiba show as pupils move on to university and beyond. Our boarders adapt quickly to life abroad, show leadership and use their social skills to get ahead. They rely on the independence and resilience built here.
Families can choose weekly or full boarding to suit their needs. Our boarding team offers support and knows when to give pupils space, making sure they grow both academically and emotionally. This balance is what makes boarding at Hiba special. Time away from home becomes an adventure and a memory for life.

We welcome new pupils to join our boarding community, where learning, friendship and character open a world of opportunities for every pupil.
